- ½ cup mint leaves
- ½ cup coriander leaves
- A small piece of ginger
- 4 tbsp sugar |jaggery
- 2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp Amchur powder
- ¼ tsp whole black pepper
- 1 tsp black salt
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 5 cups water
- 2 tsp boondi optional
Blend everything except water into a smooth paste.
You can add water while grinding.
Add 2 cups of water and filter this mixture.
Add 2 more cups of water.
Now add the lemon juice to this.
Mix well.
You can add few ice cubes to this.
Serve chilled.
The same jaljeera water can be used for pani puri too.
Garnish with some boondis just before serving.
- Jaljeera can stay fresh for a day, so you can make a day in advance if you are hosting parties.
- Half a portion of water can be replaced with plain soda.
- You can use dried mint powder and make jaljeera powder also.
