Nutella brownies recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup minus 2 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 cup Plain flour | all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup almonds or walnuts or cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp instant coffee powder

Instructions

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, coffee powder and cocoa powder together for even mixing.
  • Melt the Nutella in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  • I did it using the double boiler method.
  • In a wide bowl, add milk, yogurt, oil, vanilla essence, and sugar and mix well.
  • Add this to Nutella and mix well.
  • Pour this into the sifted flour mixture and fold gently and evenly.
  • o Add finely chopped nuts to this, I used cashew nuts, and mix gently.

  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer this to a greased baking tin ( square tin) and bake in a160 degree Celcius oven for 30 mins.
  • Mine took 25 minutes to bake. Bake at 170 degrees. Insert a toothpick in the center and check whether it is done. If it comes out clean, take it out of the oven and cool them for 20 minutes.
  • Cut them into squares and if you like to have them warm, just microwave this for 20 seconds and serve.
  • I cut them into big squares and this yielded 11 to 12 pieces.

Notes

  1. Cool the brownie and then cut it, or else it won't come in proper shape.
  2. Nutella brownies stay good in the refrigerator for a week.
