In a wide bowl add the pori and wash it in running water and drain the water immediately.
Chop the onions finely and cut the carrots too.
In a pan add oil and add in the mustard seeds and green chili. Add in the peanuts and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the finely chopped onions and add a little salt. Cook till the onions turn translucent.
Add in the carrots and green peas and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Saute for a minute and add the washed pori.
Mix well and cook for a minute.
Add the lemon juice and mix well.
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
Pori upma is ready.
