Chaat Masala recipe

Homemade aromatic chaat masala recipe

  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp black salt
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
  • 1.5 tbsp amchur powder
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 3 tsp mint leaves


  • In a pan add all the ingredients.
  • Roast it for 2-3 minutes in a medium flame.
  • Ensure not to burn the ingredients.
  • Switch off the flame
  • Allow this to cool completely.
  • Grind this into a fine powder in a dry mixie jar.
  • Store this in a clean dry container.
  • Use it in chaat recipes.



  1. You can store this in the refrigerator or freezer for longer shelf life. 2. Ideally, this homemade chaat masala stays well for 6 months if handled with a dry spoon.
