Cauliflower sandwich recipe

Easy and tasty Indian style cauliflower sandwich recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 Bread slices
  • 2 cups finely chopped cauliflower
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • ½ cup capsicum
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt as needed
  • ¾ cup grated cheese
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Butter to toast the bread
  • ¼ cup Green chutney

Instructions

  • In a pan add 1 tbsp oil and add the chopped onions and chopped garlic.
  • Saute till translucent.
  • Add a little salt.
  • Add the chopped capsicum to this.
  • Saute this for a minute.
  • Wash the cauliflower well and soak it in hot water for 5 minutes.
  • Drain the water and add it to the pan.
  • Add red chili sauce, red chili powder, and salt.
  • Mix well and let this cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Take a slice of bread and spread butter on one side.
  • Spread green chutney on the other side.
  • Place 2-3 tbsp of cauliflower filling on it.
  • Sprinkle some grated cheese.
  • Spread butter on another bread
  • Place it over the filling, keeping the buttered side up.
  • Toast on both sides in medium flame.
  • Also you can make this sandwich on a sandwich maker too.
  • Repeat this for all the bread slices.
  • Cut them into half and serve them.

Notes

You can replace cauliflower with chopped paneer too.
2. You can add garam masala and kasoori too to enhance the flavor of the cauliflower sandwich.
