In a pan add all the ingredients, except the poppy seeds and kopra.
Dry roast this in a medium low flame, till the ingredients are almost nicely roasted.
Now add the poppy seeds and kopra to this.
Do not use fresh coconut.
Roast this for a minute and switch off the flame.
Allow this to cool completely and transfer to a mixie jar.
Grind this into a fine powder.
Transfer to an airtight container and store this for 1-2 month in room temperature.
1. You can add 4 cloves along with cinnamon and traditionally it is added in the bisi bele bath powder.
2. Apart from adding this powder to bisi bele bath, you can add this for making brinjal curry, capsicum curry and also for Khara bhath.
