Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a pan add 1 tsp ghee and add cashew bits.
  • Roast till golden brown and keep aside.
  • Add 1 cup sathu maavu flour. I used homemade sathu maavu powder.
  • You can use store-bought powder as well.
  • Roast for 3-4 mins, do it in a low flame.
  • Keep stirring and ensure not to get it burnt.
  • In a pan add 1/3 cup jaggery. You can add ½ cup of jaggery to if you want a little more sweetness.
  • Add little water and allow the jaggery to melt completely.
  • No need to get any string consistency.
  • Switch off once the jaggery is fully melted.
  • Filter and add to the roasted flour. Mix well.
  • Add roasted cashew bits and mix evenly.
  • Add ghee little by little and mix. Quantity of ghee depends on the texture of the flour.
  • Ensure the ghee is hot.
  • Mix well and make small lemon sized ladoos.
  • Sathu maavu ladoos are ready.
