Ingredients

  • 1 big cucumber
  • ½ cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tomato
  • Green chutney as needed
  • Sweet chutney as needed
  • ¼ cup pomegranate arils
  • Sev as needed
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the cucumber and cut into slightly thick roundels.
  • Arrange them in a plate.
  • Add boiled chickpeas on this. You can add chopped boiled potatoes instead of that.
  • Mix the chaat masala, cumin powder, black salt and red chili powder.
  • Sprinkle this on the top of the cucumber slices.
  • Add finely chopped onions and tomatoes.
  • Now add the green chutney and sweet chutney on the top.
  • Add in the pomegranate arils on this.
  • Garnish with seva and coriander leaves.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

1. Use potato or boiled peanuts instead of chickpeas.
2. You can use papdis instead of cucumber slices.
3. Cucumber chaat is a perfect party starter.
