Microwave palkova

Ingredients

  • 1 can condensed milk 480 ml
  • 3 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp ghee

Instructions

  • In a deep microwave bowl, add 1 tsp of ghee.
  • Use a bigger bowl to avoid over flowing.
  • Add the condensed milk and yogurt to this.
  • Mix well.
  • Microwave high for 7 minutes. Every minute take it out and stir it well.
  • After 4 minutes the consistency is like this.
  • The time varies from microwave to microwave.
  • I got the right consistency in 12 minutes, when I tried this for the first time in Singapore.
  • This time I got in 8 minutes.
  • When it turns grainy and little loose take it out.
  • It will get thickened once it is cool down.
  • Instant palkova is ready.

Notes

1. Do not microwave this for a long time, it will become chewy.
2. You can store this at room temperature for one day and in the refrigerator for a week.
3. If you want to reheat, Boil water in a pan and switch it off. Place the palkova in a bowl and keep it inside the hot water.
4. You can add 1 tbsp cocoa powder along with yogurt and make Chocolate palkova.
5. Microwave palkova is a perfect dessert for instant sweet cravings.
