Macaroni chana chaat

A fusion chana chaat recipe with macaroni pasta

  • Macaroni pasta 1 cup uncooked
  • Chana 2 cups cooked
  • Green chutney 3 tsp
  • Sweet chutney 3 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt as needed
  • Kala namak 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves few
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Sev for garnishing


  • Soak the chana overnight and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
  • Drain the water and keep aside
  • Cook 1 cup of macaroni pasta with a little salt, till it becomes soft. It came up to 2 cups of cooked pasta.
  • Drain the water and keep aside.
  • Let’s assemble the chaat now.
  • In a wide bowl add the cooked chana, cooked macaroni into it.
  • Add green chutney, sweet chutney, red chili powder, chaat masala, kala namak (black salt), salt, lemon juice, chopped onions, and tomato.
  • Mix well.
  • Add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Garnish with some coriander leaves and sev.
  • Serve immediately after garnishing.



1. All the chutneys, powders can be added as per your taste.
2. You can add pomegranate arils to the Macaroni chana chaat.
