I tried this recipe today. It came out very well except for one reason. I could see top creamy layer of the milk in the kheer which my hubby doesn't like it. How am I supposed to avoid it other than filtering?

jeyashri suresh May 1, 2016 - 9:09 am

If you boil the milk surely the creamy layer will formed. I didn't understand what you are exactly saying. IS the it the malai (paal edu)

Reply
Jayashree Chandrasekar May 4, 2016 - 10:52 am

Yes pal yedu only.

Reply
jeyashri suresh May 5, 2016 - 9:56 pm

Paal edu will surely come when you boil the milk for extra time. That is the highlight in all the kheers. If you do not want, pressure cook the carrots in little water and add it to chilled milk. Use 1/2 cup of condensed milk to get the rich taste.
