Kara ammini kozhukattai using store bought rice flour with video and step by step pictures. We always use home made rice flour or idiyappam flour to make kozhukattai maavu. I have already posted the 4 ways of making kozhukattai maavu. I got few queries from readers regarding, making of kozhukattai dough using store bought rice flour. Though i have tried once, but vaguely remember about the output. So i wanted to try it once. Since i wanted to make a post, i chose the recipe of kara ammini kozhukattai recipe. I have already posted 2 spicy versions of ammini kozhukattai and aone sweet version of ammini kozhukattai. • Add water little by little to the flour and mix well with a spoon.
  • Cover this and keep.

  • I just showed that we can make outer cover for modakam using this store bought rice flour.

Notes:
  1. Do not steam the ammini kozhukattais for a long time, else they will turn rubbery and hard.
  2. For a variation you can make plain ammini kozhukattais and season it with freshly ground pepper powder to make pepper ammini kozhukattais.
