Vegetarian fried bee hoon | Mee hoon is a Popular Singapore | Malaysian local food made with rice noodles. It is similar to the veg hakka noodles we make using the Indo chinese method. This fried mee hoon | bee hoon | fried noodles is widely available in all food courts in Singapore and Malaysia. They mostly serve the non veg version of the bee hoon, but many stalls have the vegetarian fried bee hoon too. Though i am not a big fan of this bee hoon, Varsha and Suresh who always love to explore new cuisine likes this bee hoon a lot. I learnt this recipe from my Malaysian Tamil friend Rubini, who patiently explained me the recipe, even in her busy schedule with the little kid. Thank you so much for the recipe. My family enjoyed the noodles and i have already made this twice on popular demand. Check out the Teh tarik another local tea recipe.

Method:

  • I used the Brown rice noodles from fairprice Singapore. You can use millet noodles too.
  • Soak the noodles in hot water for 15 minutes. If using any Indian bran sevai, just a minute in hot water will do. Read the package and follow accordingly. Do not over cook, else the bee hoon will be soggy.
  • Drain the water completely and keep it in a colander.
  • Cut the tofu into cubes.
  • In a pan add 2-3 tsp of oil and saute the tofu till it turns golden brown.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Chop the onions finely and slit the green chili.
  • Add 1 tblsp of oil in the pan and add ginger, garlic and green chili.
  • Saute for few minutes. Add the onions.
  • Add little salt. Saute till translucent.
  • Add the veggies. Cut the veggies into thin long slices.
  • Saute them for a minute.
  • Add the dark soya sauce, light soya sauce and chili sauce. I used the Heinz brand chili sauce.
  • If you want bit more spicy you can add little more chili sauce.
  • Mix well.
  • Add the bean sprouts. Wash it nicely and add. If you do not get this at your place just skip.
  • Mix well. Add the cooked noodles.
  • Add 1 tblsp of sesame oil to this.
  • Mix it well using 2 forks. Mix evenly and gently. Do not mash the noodles.
  • Add pepper powder to this.
  • Once it is mixed well, garnish with spring onion leaves, coriander leaves and roasted peanuts. You can coarsely pound the peanuts and add.
  • Serve with a lemon wedge.

First Dates Ireland bartenders Ethan Miles shares his most romantic spots in Dublin, Ideal plans for valentine’s Day and how he thinks the Irish people fair on the dating scene.

Mateo recently told us that Irish citizens are “the appropriate” At personals. does one agree?

Haha clearly, the particular at dating, I don differ. Great craic and a silly joke and, widely, Irish people don take themselves too seriously and are fun to spend time with. as a consequence, I can see why they will be the They down to earth and honest.

Perhaps a bit of advice would be: Don be too self applied deprecating, Be real and honest with her. pretty much want love, So it’s best to not try too hard. Be humbly self assured and leave a bit out for mystery. worry is normal.

I not one to say what they can do but it hard to meet people outside of the bar/pub scene beautiful lady in spanish if you not into that. Or uniform dating. All designs and ways gotta love

What advice do you give to nervous daters before dinner?

Advice for men spend for the date! And reward your date on her hair, dress outfit, therefore on. even, Be a lady, Ask questions and become, Listen far more than you talk. company, Be yourselves but not too much on the first date. Don try way too hard, too rigorous. boost the comfort and direct.

Advice for women just be her, Don go crazy on the makeup. A man would and should appreciate the real you while. Or the nearest version. it’s possible that it just me, I prefer the holistic look. We think the women can wear as much or as little makeup as they like but to each their own!] It OK to be scared, Your date is most likely dealing with that problem. You both nervous and you got you win. At least you gaining an event and it be a story to tell later. The glass is half full and how bad can it be? additional, put your feet up! You yet shown up, Now enjoy it.

Where are probably romantic date spots in Dublin?

well, I used to cycle on a regular in Dublin so I loved taking a date on a cycle up to Pigeonhead Beach and Lighthouse or to Bull Island or Dollymount Beach on the north side.

In this town, I liked Hi Lan Korean/Chinese kitchen on Dame Street or Havana Tapas Bar on George Street.

Foam Caf is a favourite of mine or the Grand Social on the Northside or McNeill for some trad music on Capel Street and then a walk on the quays. usually a good walk after a meal.

What contemplating doing this Valentine Day?

particularly, Something exotic. sleeping in, Having a wonderful breakfast, And spending many day in bed spending quality time. oh yea, Watching movies too and then a captivating dinner and a walk.

precisely what the most romantic thing you ever done and/or had done for you?

fine, I flew halfway throughout the world for someone (It was considerable) And then she flew halfway throughout the globe for me I guess that pretty romantic.

What is the most romantic meal to make someone on a date?

Good query. I pick chicken or steak, It gotta be appetizing. I love a great risotto or pasta finished up with cheesecake or frozen goodies.

what would your ideal date consist of?

Great internet business, A chill small place Jazz bar works for me each and every time or anywhere jazz is playing (Not too unnecessary) A simple dinner that doesn hurt your wallet and candles. Also a large part table.
