Masala chai

Masala tea | masala chai is a popular Indian tea made with milk, tea powder, and spices. Be it a hot sunny day or a cold winter, tea is a staple in most of the houses. We used to take tea once in the morning. I generally don’t prefer to have a second dose of tea or coffee. Very rarely during weekends, when i make for my hubby i take a sip of tea in the evening. Usually, i make ginger cardamom tea. I have also posted the recipe of Homemade chai masala in Jeyashris kitchen. This is a Masala tea | masala chai recipe with fresh tea masala.

For the past few months, we are enjoying the cold weather in Hongkong. Though it is not super cold as how US and Canada have, for us it is really cold. We have always grown up in tropical countries and always experienced hot weather. And the cold weather demanded few doses of masala chai on a day. I love the way my friend in Singapore makes tea. She makes adarakwali tea every morning. Few times i tasted that too and i love the taste. I used the same method for making this recipe. Please add the ingredients as per your choice of taste. Pair it with a Masala vadai | Onion pakoda or simple Marie biscutis. So if you are looking for a perfect masala tea | masala chai recipe do give this a try.
