Corn and cheese a wonderful combo , which i never knew until i have tasted this last year in Cream centre Chennai. After that i wanted to try it at home but some how forgot. Few weeks back i got two requests from readers to post the recipe of Corn cheese balls i suddenly remembered this and made it at home last week and it turned out super perfect. Though i made it in the noon, when the kids came in the evening it was not soggy and they enjoyed it very much. Without boring you much let me move on the recipe of how to make corn cheese balls.
All purpose flour and maida are same. Rice flour i never tried though. You can put in a box but ensure that they won't stick to each other too much. A wide box is fine
Thanks for your reply mam. I tried the very next day, I added rice flour and it came so well. I still doubt if the inner layer will be sticky even after deep frying ? Or you suspect anything wrong in my way of cooking it.

Thanks for posting dis recipe jeyashri.. i had dis in chill n grill… i was searching dis recipe for long time…Yours look the same..Bookmarked 🙂 will make a try soon…the bread crumps u used is home made or packed one?
I have eaten the same dish in vepery, Chennai. Instead of bread crumbs they are using bread. Bread is soaked in water and taken up immediately and it acts as a cover to the cheese ball. How this is possible.
Yes they dip the bread in water and immediately take it out and gently squeeze it the excess water. Fill the stuffing and cover it and fry. Thus the bread acts as a cover and forms a crispy outer layer.

Looks very tempting!
Will the mixture be sticky while making the balls or am I wrong somewhere?
If you feel the mixture is sticky add little maida. It will turn perfect
can breadcrumbs be replaced with rawa?
I have never tried rava, but you can try, else you can use coarsely powdered cornflakes too.
where do we get ready made bread crumbs in Singapore ?
We get in fairprice priya. It's quite cheaper too.
Looks tempting enough for me to try this out today. Have you tried this in appe pan/appam pan?
Hi Lalitha, I have never tried in appe pan, but i am sure how long will it take to get cooked in appe pan.
It's a brilliant recipe… Thanks…it works really well…
Did u use sweet Corn or unsweetened ones?
I used the frozen corns. i have mentioned this in the post too
How can i make bread crumbs? Is it regular toast crumbled?
I used store bought crumbs but you can toast and crumble it in a food processor
